Rebuilding Together Greater Florida Celebrates Tampa Headquarters Grand Opening

On April 28, Rebuilding Together Greater Florida proudly celebrated the grand opening of its new Tampa headquarters, marking an exciting new chapter in the organization’s mission to Repair, Revitalize, and Rebuild communities across Florida.

Located in the heart of Tampa, the new headquarters and accompanying warehouse space will strengthen Rebuilding Together Greater Florida’s ability to serve homeowners, mobilize volunteers, and expand critical home repair efforts throughout the region. The facility will serve as a hub for operations, community engagement, volunteer coordination, and disaster recovery initiatives that help homeowners remain safe, healthy, and in the homes they love.

The celebration began with a networking hour that brought together staff, community partners, nonprofit leaders, business professionals, elected officials, and longtime supporters of Rebuilding Together Greater Florida’s mission. The event highlighted the power of collaboration and the collective impact made possible through strong community partnerships.

Guests heard remarks from several distinguished speakers, including CEO Jose Garcia, Board President Linda Thomas, President and CEO of Rebuilding Together National Maureen Carlson, City of Tampa Housing and Community Development Supervisor Michelle Boone, and Hillsborough County Commissioner Gwen Myers. The organization was also honored to have Alec Huskey of the Ybor City Chamber of Commerce serve as the event’s master of ceremonies.

Throughout the evening, speakers reflected on the importance of affordable housing, neighborhood revitalization, disaster recovery, and ensuring that vulnerable homeowners have access to the resources they need to age safely in place and remain part of the communities they call home.

The event concluded with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony and guided tours of the new facility. Attendees had the opportunity to explore the space and learn more about how the headquarters will support future programs, partnerships, and community impact initiatives.

The Tampa headquarters represents more than a new building. It symbolizes Rebuilding Together Greater Florida’s continued commitment to strengthening communities, expanding services, and creating lasting change for homeowners throughout the region.

As the organization looks ahead, the new facility will play a key role in supporting volunteers, coordinating critical home repair projects, and responding to the growing needs of Florida homeowners.

Rebuilding Together Greater Florida extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who attended the celebration and to the many supporters, partners, volunteers, and community leaders who continue to help advance its mission every day.

Together, we are building safer homes, stronger communities, and brighter futures.
