MetLife Volunteer Day Revitalizes Tampa Home

Rebuilding Together Greater Florida is proud to partner with MetLife for a volunteer event dedicated to helping transform Tampa homeowner DeAle’s house into a place she can truly be proud to call home.

Through the power of volunteerism and community partnership, MetLife volunteers come together to make meaningful improvements that enhance both the appearance and functionality of DeAle’s home. Throughout the day, volunteers roll up their sleeves to paint, complete landscaping projects, and add thoughtful finishing touches that help create a welcoming environment for DeAle and her family.

Among the special improvements are a new mailbox and a basketball hoop for DeAle’s son. While these additions may seem small, they represent the personal touches that help turn a house into a home. These enhancements not only improve curb appeal but also create opportunities for joy, pride, and lasting memories.

The event highlights the impact that dedicated volunteers and community partners can have when they work together toward a common goal. By investing time, resources, and care into projects like this, volunteers help homeowners maintain safe, healthy, and vibrant living environments.

We are also grateful for the support of Gwen Myers, whose participation underscores the importance of community collaboration and neighborhood revitalization.

Projects like this demonstrate that rebuilding communities goes beyond physical improvements. It is about restoring pride, fostering connections, and creating spaces where families can thrive.

We extend our sincere thanks to MetLife, our volunteers, community leaders, and supporters who help make this work possible. Together, we continue our mission of Repairing, Revitalizing, and Rebuilding stronger communities across Greater Florida.
