As we celebrate 25 years of service, we’re proud to announce a new chapter in our journey:
Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay is now Rebuilding Together Greater Florida (RTGFL).

This name change marks a major milestone for our organization. Over the years, we’ve expanded far beyond Tampa Bay—bringing safe and healthy housing to families and communities across Central and Southwest Florida. Our new name reflects this broader regional reach, but our core mission remains the same: Repair Homes, Revitalize Communities, and Rebuild Lives.

A Night to Remember: Our 25th Anniversary Celebration

On April 10, 2025, we gathered at the Motor Enclave in Tampa to celebrate 25 years of impact. The event brought together longtime partners, volunteers, staff, and supporters to reflect on the past and look ahead to the future of RTGFL.

The evening was emceed by Dave Wagner, evening news anchor at 10 Tampa Bay, and featured remarks from a lineup of passionate and inspiring speakers:

• Jose Garcia, Chief Executive Officer of Rebuilding Together Greater Florida
• Anthony Baldo, Board President of RTGFL
• Josie Tamayo, Chief Executive Officer of Volunteer Florida
• Michael Edmison, Vice President of Network Advancement, Rebuilding Together
• Robbi Smith, representing Commissioner Gwen Myers’ Office, who presented an official proclamation recognizing our 25 years of community service

In addition, we were honored to receive video tributes from two of our region’s most respected leaders:

• Tampa Mayor Jane Castor
• St. Petersburg Mayor Ken Welch

Looking Ahead

With a quarter century of service behind us, we’re more committed than ever to building safer, stronger communities throughout Greater Florida. Whether through critical home repairs, disaster recovery, or neighborhood revitalization, Rebuilding Together Greater Florida will continue to meet people where they are—one home at a time.
