At Rebuilding Together Greater Florida, preparing communities before a disaster strikes is just as important as helping them recover afterward. That’s why we are proud to partner with Progressive volunteers to assemble 400 hurricane preparedness kits designed to help families stay safe, informed, and connected throughout hurricane season.

Volunteers come together with a shared mission: equipping Florida residents with essential emergency supplies that can make a significant difference during and after a storm. Each kit includes valuable preparedness items such as solar-powered radios, dry bags, and portable power banks—tools that help families access information, protect important belongings, and maintain communication when power outages occur.

As hurricane season continues, these preparedness kits will be distributed throughout our service area to support residents when and where the need is greatest. By providing these resources ahead of emergencies, we help strengthen community resilience and ensure more families have access to critical supplies before a storm impacts their neighborhood.
