Preparing Tampa Bay for Tomorrow: $150K Boosts Disaster Readiness & Recovery

We are honored to share that Rebuilding Together Greater Florida has received a generous $150,000 grant from Community Foundation Tampa Bay in support of our Disaster Readiness & Recovery Program.

This vital funding will allow us to continue providing critical home repairs and disaster preparedness resources for low-income families across Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco counties. By investing in safer, healthier homes, we are helping to ensure that some of our most vulnerable neighbors, seniors, families, and individuals living with limited means are better protected before, during, and after disasters.

The importance of this work cannot be overstated. Tampa Bay is no stranger to hurricanes and severe weather events, and when disaster strikes, those with the fewest resources are often the hardest hit. Through this program, we can address urgent repair needs such as roofing, electrical, plumbing, and accessibility modifications, while also providing preparedness support that strengthens resilience at the household and community level.

Thanks to Community Foundation Tampa Bay’s support, we can expand our reach and continue our mission of repairing homes, revitalizing communities, and rebuilding lives. Together, we are creating safer, stronger neighborhoods and ensuring that more families have the stability they need to weather future storms.
