RTGFL Awarded $500,000 to Expand Disaster Recovery in Pinellas and Pasco Counties

RTGFL Receives $500,000 in State Funding to Support Disaster Recovery in Pinellas and Pasco Counties

Rebuilding Together Greater Florida was honored to have CEO Jose Garcia and Vice President of Development Justin Coles attend the signing of Florida’s 2026–27 state budget this week, marking an important milestone for disaster recovery efforts across our region.

We are incredibly grateful to receive $500,000 in state funding to support critical disaster recovery initiatives for homeowners in Pinellas and Pasco counties. This investment will help us continue providing essential home repairs to families recovering from the impacts of natural disasters, allowing more Floridians to remain safe, healthy, and independent in their homes.

This vital support was made possible through the leadership and advocacy of Senator Nick DiCeglie and Representative Brad Yeager (District 56), whose continued commitment to strengthening their communities is creating a lasting impact for homeowners in need.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to Governor Ron DeSantis for approving this funding and to the State of Florida for its continued investment in disaster readiness, recovery, and long-term community resilience.

As hurricanes and other severe weather events continue to affect Florida communities, partnerships with state leaders are essential to ensuring vulnerable homeowners have access to the resources they need to recover and rebuild. Rebuilding Together Greater Florida is proud to continue this mission and looks forward to putting these funds to work serving families throughout Pinellas and Pasco counties.
