Sarasota County Invests in Critical Home Repairs Through SHIP Program

Rebuilding Together Greater Florida is grateful to Sarasota County for its continued investment in safe, healthy housing through the Sarasota County SHIP program. The $750,000 investment will help expand critical home repairs and housing rehabilitation efforts for homeowners throughout Sarasota County.

The State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) program provides funding that helps preserve affordable homeownership by supporting essential repairs for local residents, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and families who may not otherwise have the resources to complete needed home improvements.

Through the Sarasota County SHIP program, Rebuilding Together Greater Florida is able to address repairs that improve the health, safety, and accessibility of homes while helping homeowners remain in the communities they love. From roof repairs and accessibility modifications to other critical home improvements, these projects create safer living environments and strengthen neighborhoods across Sarasota County.

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to preserving affordable housing and ensuring homeowners can continue living independently in safe, stable homes for years to come.

We are incredibly thankful to Sarasota County for its partnership and investment in our mission. Together, we’re helping preserve affordable homeownership while rebuilding homes, revitalizing communities, and rebuilding lives.
